Have a englander pellet stove that works great since I had a friend adjust the ignitor position. The only problem I have is the fact that the pellets hang up on the lip where the hopper sides and the hole for the auger are. Can that be filed down so as not to allow pellets to catch there. Currently I must frequently keep pulling the pellets to the middle of the hopper or it will run out of pellets but have a large collection of the on the hopper sides.

The problem is friction on the sides of the hopper. Some people rub the paint smooth with steel wool, some rub it with wax paper.

Spray furniture polish, like Behold or Pledge, works well, especially on smooth unpainted hoppers.
