Enviro empress fs combustion motor problem

Hey guys

I need some help. I did a test run last weekend and noticed long after the stove shut down the combustion motor has a hum noise coming from it, it also gets and stays warm almost to the point of being hot. Anybody run into this problem before? BTW the motor in question is brand new, my spare does the same thing.

That's sounding a lot like a control board problem... I had sort of similar symptoms in my Empress for a long time, and finally replaced the control board last year. It's been working great ever since.

But those things are spendy, so maybe someone like Don222 can give a more specific answer. He has lots of experience with them.

Thanks for the reply. I'm heading to a dealer i found close to home to pick up a new and updated board. I also ordered a new wiring harness online, i noticed most of the wires are showing their age. Replaceing both items will extend the life of my stove for cheap money and give me peace of mind when i'm not home and the stove is running. When i install everything i will update this thread with some pictures and weather or not my problem was solved.

Make sure to change the program on the new board to a 2 as it ships in program one will do weird things in an empress

I have the info at my office I can scan a copy for you on Monday
But from memory unplug stove disconnect the leads to the exhaust temp sensor. Press and hold feed trim , combustion trim and the hidden button to the left of the powers button (room blowers off) at the same time. Release. All the heat indicator lights should blink once. If so press all 3 at the same stone again. Release. Lights should blink 2 times, this indicates program 2. Unplug stove. Reconect leads . Plug back in and start as normal

Update:

I picked up a new controll board Monday morning and all is working as it should. Next item to replace is the wireing harness when it gets here.
