The manual says its a 4" and my stove is definitely 3". What gives?

The tech manual says the OAK is 3" and exhaust is 4". What is the diameter of the OAK inlet on yours?

It's 3 also". I think my stove has exhaust diameter envy. Apparently not all stoves are created equal.

On the other hand I get to use my existing 3" pipe. The inlet is even the same height as my old stove. I better buy a Powerball ticket today.

OK now I am really stumped. There is no hole for the fresh air intake, so where is this thing drawing air from?

I reckon I'll run it with no outside air until I can figure out what's going on with this. I hate doing that in this drafty house with 0* Fahrenheit coming tomorrow but I have to get some heat going.

The manual doesn't say anything about a hearth pad. Is that right that this doesn't need one? Weird.

ok found the model number. WH Omega 188803.

Your Omega is a cousin to my Maxx. The Maxx used to be 3" exhaust/2" intake but changed to 4"/3" around 2012 if I had to guess. The port in your picture has a flapper in it, with the stove unplugged/not running you should be able to wiggle it with a screwdriver. I had to remove the flapper to get any noticeable draft to come through my cold air pipe, and even then it's clearly not feeding from that exclusively.

Hope that helps,
- Jeff
