exterior stainless chimney question

guys, im planning on putting a wood burning furnace in my garage...thats where my furnace is located, so i would have to put in about 25ft of exterior 6" chimney pipe in the rear of my house..i have a wood burning insert in the fireplace venting to the chimney on the opposite side of the house...the problem is its a raised ranch...so i would have to come out about ground level with the pipe out of the garage, then go up about 3 ft, then theres a bump out, then up about 15ft to the soffet, bump out around that, then finish the pipe the rest of the way up..i think this is the only way?? I would like to extend the pipe coming out of the garage about 3ft horizontally, so i have a straight shot up to the soffet, but i dont think this is possible due to the bracket and "T" having to attach to the house...any ideas?? Ive attached a picture of a house that is set up like mine, so you can kinda get the idea

i am thinking of pouring a concrete footing, and making a brace out of angle iron for the "t" and house bracket to be attached to...this way i can come out of my house about 2.5ft and run straight up to the soffet,..anyone ever have an installation like this before?? Anyone???

3 feet seems kinda long. How far out does your soffit go? If the space allows for it. The longer the length of horizontal, the less draft and more buildup you'll get. So you want it to come out 3 feet beyond the outside wall?

first question are you doing all this just so that you don't have to put a hole in the roof? Aside from the 3' of horizontal pipe the big main problem will be finding a company that allow elbows to be put in their product in a outside installation. If memory serves correct there might be only one company that now does allow outside offset.
Looking at the photo you provided my assumption is that it's bedrooms above your garage, so why go straight up thru either the corner of a room and out the roof. Or up thru the end of a closet where its the easiest to hide. Two things it will make all the difference in the world on the way that your stove runs. Second it will be cheaper to do and allot faster install.

Every one i have used allows offsets out side but not 45s only 15 or 30 degrees. I agree that an interior chimney will be cheaper and work a little better but it absolutely will not be faster.and if he uses 15 degree elbows i don't think the performance will be that bad at all. Now i do think it will look ridiculous on the outside of the house though

the pipe would come out almost between those lower windows..that lower ledge sticks out 13 inches, so i would have to go horozontal far enough so my t would clear past that, and then up to the soffet, where i would use 30's to go up and around it, as it sticks out 15 inches..

ive never thought about running it inside..3 bedrooms are above the garage, so that leaves me 3 closets to choose from...the hallway closet that would be best is already takin up by the hvac ductwork running from garage to attic

I would run it inside personally if possible but mainly due to aesthetics

I agree, try to pass it inside. It may take 2-3 times the work but it will pay off in spades long term in performance and looks!

just some quick measurements and i can run it up between the two cars, about 2ft off the center line, and that will put me into a bedroom closet, and almost in the center of the house...this way ill only have about 3-4 ft or chimney showing extending through the roof...thanks guys!

THAT is the best bet. A few sections of pipe, ceiling box, and you're done. NO draft issues, clean job. Awesome!
