I did the break-in procedure and this was after my first true fire. I never really paid attention to the interior before doing this or even after the break-in, so I don't know what it looked like. Is this the cement and does it look like it's been damaged?

Any cement you can see has just been squeezed out of where it’s really needed. It will eventually fall off no harm done. Keep getting it hotter. It doesn’t look like you have had a real fire yet.

Phew, thank you. I was a bit worried just in general because I ran my second burn a bit hotter than I was supposed to , I'm paranoid I'm going to wreck something.

Read up on the operation of the V3. Many have found covering the air intake holes on the sides of the ash pan helpful. Double check the ash pan door seals all the way around. Flash light or $ bill test.
