My chimney, where my insert is right now is not lined. I went to the local stove shop and they quoted my a 600 bucks for a 15 foot stainless steel lining kit.

Is this a fair price?

Thanks!

You can get it cheaper on ebay or other websites with the complete kit.

$289 for whole kit.

From this place http://www.chimneydepotsupply.com/6x25siplychl.html

The manufacturer is only about 12 miles from me, I ended up swapping the "T" and "T-cap" for a "Flex adaptor connector" that fit onto the top of the stove. They also let me swap the 10"X10" chimney top for one 10"X14" (IIRC), which they made right there for me, very nice people.

Looks like a pretty good deal! Does it work alright for you? I'm looking online, some are about 700 bucks, some are cheaper. I'm seeing the price drop quick on these things, must have something to do with the economy...

My stove is not drafting right, it's a real slow draft and I'm getting some smoke out of the door when I open it....

I think it's time to buy, like, tomorrow.

It's hard to do it, because I'm currently in a rental house, but the landlord is my best friend. I'm working on buying the house but with the crappy economy it's really hard to get financing. I think I'll just pay for it myself and put it in
