I've located a Home Depot that has a 10-CDV for 1551.00 and a 25 PDV for 1349.00. Is this anywhere near 50% off? Is it a fair price and last but not least, which
would you purchase between the two?
Lew

I think that price is about 20% off their normal price. I bought mine last year for around $875 which was 50% off the price at that time. I bought it right around this time of the year, and who knows, they might even drop the price some more if they don't sell. I have the 25-pdv, and it seems to work pretty good for me in my 1500 sq. ft. house. Even at the price you mentioned, I think it would be a good purchase. Just my 2 cents, for what it's worth.

Thanks Dan,
They don't list the retail price ....they just list the sale price.
I think 20% off this time of the year is not that great.....It seems Lowes always has better prices than home depot. If anyone out there happens
to run across either of these two stoves would you be kind enough to let me know where they are located? I'm thinking they may match the price.
Thanks everyone!
Lew

Lew,

I picked my 25-PDVC / 55-SHP10 from Lowes when they had a 50% off sale in the middle of January $584.00. The store I picked up mine sold out the same day on all the pellet stoves, and from what I saw all the Lowes within a 60 mile radius sold out on the sale units in 2 days. So I don't think your going to get a price match between the two stores for this one reason and the other reason Even though both sell the New Englander stoves by the same company technically they are different ... one is called Englander at HD the other Timber ridge at Lowes... the difference is the trim and of course the model number.

When I bought my stove the guy at Lowes told me they have a 50% off sale every year, so if you wanted to wait.... but that's no guarantee that they will have the one in stock that you decide on. But from Lancaster there is like at least 6 lowes within about 40 miles... lol

The Home Depot in Woodside, Queens NY, Had the That stove Originally @$1950.00 during the winter, then had it reduced to $1540 in Mid February, They had 2 in stock.

Made a mistake, and want to clear it up just in case before someone from ESW yells at me.... "Timber ridge" above is supposed to be "Summers Heat" ESW does have a Timber ridge name also, but don't know where they're sold at. Seen a couple on ebay though...

Hi all,
Well we finally went with the 10-CDV. I spoke with the manager today and he reduced the price to 1350.
He stated that it was the price they had payed for the stove...so we were more than satisfied with the purchase.
I'd still rather deal with Lowes...they just seem to have better selections and more help in the store....the shame
of it all is that we live within 5 minutes of hd and 20 mins from lowes.
We want to thank everyone here for all of their help with this purchase. What a great group of people.
Sincerely,
Lew & Linda
