I need to replace lights in my living room. What type of fans would you have? Two ceiling fans (one on either side of wood stove). A floor fan? I have a Dreo tower fan that we have set in the hallway to blow cool air into our living room and it is quite impressive for how quiet it is and how much air it moves. I also wonder if there is anything to those turbo fans that have been around for a while that claim to move air throughout the whole room (Dreo has a few of these as well as other manufacturers). Does anyone have any experience with these? My wife would probably prefer to have normal lights in the lighting fixtures, but I am wondering if having ceiling fans would be the best option. Also my ceiling is on 8 feet high.

I don't like ceiling fans on a standard height ceiling. I use fans on a pedestal with a remote. They are 3 speed, but I only use the lowest speed.
They can be placed at the best position in the room and moved up and down. There are two drawbacks, they are a bit loud, and if you get the remote type they don't restart after a power outage.
