the feed rate, whether I burn "stove" or "room" temp,
day or night...
will711 said:#4 is the factory recommendation & that's what I use. I run in stove temp mode between #2 -#4 depending on how cold it is outside this gives me a warm cozy home and 24 - 30 hrs burn time / bag.

WHAT?! My record so far is 17 hours on a bag. That was in stove temp #1 and distribution blower on Low. I have just started testing out room temp and I think I can get longer burn times but that depends on outside temps.
I never did the test in the manual to set the feed rate but based on a lot of recommendations here I set it to 4 and haven't changed it. So far so good I think.

Don't know what to tell you . This is no BS I'm heating 1st floor 650 sq ft 70* + 2nd floor 850 sq ft master bedroom over garage 67*. My home is well insulated R19 walls R38 ceilings tyveck wrap anderson windows. Run the blower on low also and #4 stove temp is highest I've run. I burn 1 bag a day. Maybe the p61 is hungrier than my Accentra?

Correct. "Feed Rate" is kind of inaccurate as it implies that you can alter the speed that the pellets are pushed out. It's more like a max feed cycle time. In general, the setting corresponds to the max amount of time that pellets will be allowed to feed each minute. The number on the dial multiplied by 10 is the max number of seconds that the auger will feed in a given minute. So for example, a setting of "4" will only allow a cycle of 40 seconds (approximate) followed by a 20 second period of no feeding. However, the feed cycle will still be cut short if either the ESP probe is satisfied (in stove temp mode) or the room probe is satisfied (in room temp mode).
Once set per the procedure in the manual, there is no real need to adjust it.

I believe you. Im jealous! Yea I have about 2200 sf and only r13 at best in the walls and not enough in the attic. Attic is this springs project I think. Windows are all new paradigm (21 windows weren't cheap!) Probably doesn't help that the room the stove is in is slab on grade and not sure if there is any insulation down there....

My last fill went 36+ hours (40 lbs) with igniter switch set to manual, so the stove was running 24/7. Thermostat no less than 72.![]()
