Well my sins are coming back to visit me. I bought a new VC 2550 maybe 20 yrs. ago and neglected changing the gaskets in the windows for all the years I've owned it. I always changed the door gaskets every so often when they needed them. So this year we had a cracked glass and boy, it has been a bit of a hassle. The screws did'nt have enough head left to unscrew so I had to take to the machine shop to have removed. So after replacing glass and all the gaskets except for the right side glass I was having trouble dampering down so I mustered enough courage to try and replace the gasket on the last glass, and of course it cracked also. But there was virtually no gasket left at all and I'm pretty sure that was my air leak problem. But I was able to save the threads and remove old screws. But I figure that for 20 yrs. that ain't bad for all the enjoyment and money she's saved us. This has been the only major problem we've ever had. I'll probably change them out now with the rest of the gaskets and put new screws every change out. And thanks to folks here on the forum they were very helpful and gave me good advice and ideas on what to check.
