I need to find a chimney sweep in the NC Indiana area. What do I need to look for in terms of certification, etc? This was our first year burning and I want it done right this year and then maybe I'll take care of in future years. Any thoughts/help would be appreciated!

Check the national chimney sweep guild. A good idea may be to contact some local hearth shops and see if they offer a chimney cleaning service. Of course, check with the BBB, ask for references and make sure the sweep is properly insured

You can go to these sites and plug in your zip code and find a chimney sweep . . . a real sweep . . . not some guy who just happens to have a ladder and a chimney brush he bought at The Home Depot two weeks ago.
