I went with the intentions of getting a few rounds to throw into my truck but the guy said he would dump the whole load at my house. What a blessing. I think it's oak.

Soft maple, probably red.

Soft maple. Now get split , stacked and it will be ready for next year. We burn about 3 cord a year of it and I NEVER turn it down. Trust me if it is dried it will get HOT quick.

Looks like silver maple to me. It splits pretty easy and ive found it dries pretty quickly. I split a bunch this summer and fall and while I dont have a MM the stuff I split earlier seems like its coming along nicely

If my wife would let me split in the dark I'd be out there right now.

Yes a very early Christmas present indeed.

Maple. Good amount there. Split it and stack it. Seasons pretty quickly... compared to oak that is.:)

I got some silver maple this spring and split small since it was my first score and I knew I'd be into it this winter. After six months it's sub 20%, light as balsa, catches fire quickly. Doesn't burn forever, but I'm very happy with it. Excellent score, and it won't break your back.

Soft maple with an oak leaf in for good measure.
