Only burned dry hardwood, and last year was our first year with the fireplace. We don’t use as primary heat, went through around two
cords last year.

I swept it today for the first time using the Midwest 6” poly brush and fiberglass rods.
Pic is of the deposits that fell, the chimney looks pretty clean after this, only a bit of dry ash dust left in some areas.

Does this seem like an appropriate quantity of creosote given my usage?

I may switch to a sooteater next time to get all the ash dust off because I’m OCD!

That looks great. Small amount- and what you do have there indicates overall good burning.
