I have a vigilant wood stove with the oval opening to 8" round stovepipe. I have another stove that I like better - holds fire longer - but it has a 6" flue - top vent. Can I go from the 6" flue with an adaptor to the 8" pipe ( that I already have) and still get good performance? Flue length is about 18' long
