Hi! We are installing an FP30 in our "gutted to the studs" home. It's going into a wall between the great room and the kitchen. The fireplace store said that the kit to send heat into the family room, behind the unit, is noisy and always on, so you can't control it. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions about how to get the heat into that back room, without having a loud blower that is on full blast every time you use the stove? Thanks for your help!

That doesn't sound right. The kit comes with a rheostat for blower control. It doesn't need to be always on. It would be easy to add thermostatic control from the family room so that it came on when the room called for heat.
