I have had mine for a few months now and am using it to heat our 3500sqft home. I have been pretty pleased with it and have some less than great wood. Some of wood is "dead fall". My question is about cat temps. My stove often runs at about 800-900 for cat temps. This is with the air control pulled out about 1/2-3/4. The hottest I've got the stove is 1150 and that was only a couple of times. Should it be getting hotter? Would it get much hotter with the air open more?
Are most folks pleased with this unit?
