Question:

I forgot to ask this last time. I know that new fireplaces work better with fresh air intake ducts. I can't seem to find anything about this in any wood stove brochures I have (Lopi- Vermont castings). Do wood stoves need/have fresh air intakes?

Answer:

Some new stoves have the option of installing outside air intakes. If you live in a very tightly constructed home- then it is a good option. If it's standard construction- then it may not be needed.
