Fresh Air intake

Hi,

For the Blaze King Princess 29, do I need to install a fresh air intake, or would it be sufficient to simply crack a nearby window about an inch when using the stove? There are windows located right next to where the stove will be installed.

Cracking a nearby window open can work, but if that window faces the prevailing winter winds, the cold air blowing in may get annoying pretty quickly. Depending on the house tightness, a fresh air supply may not be necessary at all. Older homes tend to be leaky and if draft is sufficient, then enough combustion air may be present.
To determine better, we need to know a lot more about the stove location and the house. Is this a basement or main floor install? How tall will the flue system be and will it be straight up through the house or out the wall via a 90º turn and then an outside chimney pipe? Does the house have a high-cfm kitchen exhaust fan? Is there an HRV or ERV air exchange system installed?
