So my vigilant ran well for the 7 years I ran it, though couldn't keep up during the really cold 5f wind blowing weather.

I am heating my 2,000sq ft open floor plan shop.

It kept me above freezing, like low to mid 50's. And that's running full bore 24/7. With a magic heat box...

Welp, the fireback, warped something awfull. And I was forced to use my 'emergency' damper to run the stove (damper in pipe) as the primary damper was useless.....

So this year I was forced to buy a new stove....

Ended up with an American Eagle, with a blower for $500. This stove is MASSIVE! It's 2x the size of my vigilant...

Huge fire box!

I am currently doing the initial burn , burning off the new paint that the previous owner applied, checking temps, that sort of thing... Both shop doors are open, it's 55f outside and 75f in here... I 2/3's loaded it, and will let it burn out at this point...

I am FLOORED by the heat output!

It has a damper in the pipe, then it goes to a reducer, from 8" to 6". Then my magic heat, then up 10' to the cap.. Total pipe length is 16' ish...

The blower.... WOW! This raised the temp by 5f in the first hour!

Anyways, it has these two knobs on the front... Gonna hafta play with those, right now they are open all the way, with the damper in pipe set about 60% blocked...

I can't get over stove temp, 320f on top, pipe temp at 400f. It's crazy, and the heat output is insane! Way better than my vigilant by like 10 fold!

Any suggestions on those two knobs?

Meh. I like my magic heat box. And my creosote is always light and fluffy.
