My 18 year old P68, which has given me great service over the years. As far as I can remember the only repair is replacing the heating element.

Now, I've got a little issue with the Distribution Blower. I discovered it wasn't functioning, not sure for how long. I determined it was locked, so I ordered a new one. Installed it today. Gave it a good cleaning while I was there. It's lookin good. So I fired her up and got her up to temp. The red indicator goes on for the blower, but not the fan. I ran it through all options still nothing.

Tomorrow, I will pull it down again and test for voltage. The motor is free spinning. I also have it run through a thermostat, just in case that was causing issues. I disconnected and no change. I also am a retired electrician, so that may come in handy.

An one have any tips or thoughts.

Thanks

Check the temp snap disc and hopper lid safety switch

If the light does not come on it could be the control board. Possibly the ESP probe.

Bingo.......figured it out, actually pretty easy!

I knew the root of the problem was the motor was locked up. Bought a new one, removed the old motor and installed the new one into the frame. Nice fit, clearances were good motor spun freely put it all back in and buttoned her up. Fired her up and nothing, let her heat up and still nothing. That's when I posted.

This morning I knew the blower had to come out again, which was pretty easy. Got it out, spun the motor and it barely moved. Ugh. I realized all I needed to do was to adjust where the motor set. I took off the side flange / cover, which I had installed after I had adjusted the motor. I took off the flange and the motor spun freely. I readjusted the motor put her all back together.......all better. Wow does that put out some heat.

As we're down south for Jan, Feb & March, I never noticed the fan not working, as it put out plenty of heat. Now it really puts out heat.

One thing I did watch on YouTube was how to operate a Harman stove. I learned a lot. I probably haven't gone over the operation since I bought it 18 years ago.

Anyways thanks guys for responding and come this Monday when the high is going to be 38*, I'll be ready.
