I ran into a dealer last weekend at the home show in Des Moines. Anybody have experience with these units? They look like nice units and they are made about 100 miles from where I live. But no blower has me concerned,,,the claim 250 CFM from natural convection. And they also claim to burn with the damper 95% closed. Thoughts anybody??

Thanks

The design looks old school, pre EPA. Can they still be sold?

Beware of marketing claims. It may burn longer than an open fireplace, but I think a modern EPA unit will outperform it using less wood to produce more heat.

From what i see i am not impressed at all. And $4000 for that i am sorry but that is out of line
