I would like to know exactly what a gas fireplace is and how it differs from gas logs.




Answer:

Gas logs are for retrofit into an existing masonry or pre-fab fireplace. Gas fireplace are for installation where no fireplace currently exists...in other words, the entire unit assembly as opposed to just the logs and burner.
