Well, I suppose if'n that whats you drivin, you gon need a repair shop! :p ;lol
I was in a 7.3 L diesel Ford. Almost 3yrs ago a 20yr old took a left turn from the right lane across my path, in a 55mph zone. I jammed on the brakes and tried to make the turn with him. Would have killed him if I didn't. Hit his front fender spinning him around. I then put myself in a ditch within the median. Truck totaled, I went without a truck for a year. Nothing but junk for sale with a tight budget. That was a year lost on bringing home wood too. A friend of mine put me in an 04 25ooHD Chevy with a 6.o L gasser. I still owe him a bit of coin for it. I hate the thing but it's getting it done...... I can't wait to replace it.

I finally bought the furnace. Its sitting in my detached garage waiting for me to burn it a few times before taking it into the basement. It was missing the RTD, so I'm waiting for that to arrive also (on its way, great customer service so far).

As far as getting the unit down into the basement, and getting the old unit out of the basement, I think I'm going to buy some 4x4s and throw together a frame to set Infront of the basement door at the top of the steps. I have block and tackle that I can use to pull the old unit up with so long as I lay a couple of 2x4s down on the steps to use for runners. I'm thinking about using a winch instead though. I can lock the block and tackle to hold it in place, but those things can be tricky to get to lock and unlock when you want them to. The push button convenience of a winch seems like it would be worth while. I have a 13k winch that I use for loading logs onto my trailer, but its heavy and bulky. There's a Harbor Freight right next to the closest Menards, so I may pick up a smaller winch to use for the project. I could always mount it to my game hoist when I'm done :) Going this route is going to add a little cost, but its way cheaper than a injury. I could also use it in the future to move one or more of my gun safes into the basement.
