Hey glad you guys are here getting Carolina stove fireplace insert clean up for another burning season. What I would like to know is should I have a grate in the firebox or not, have been running it for several years without one, tried to put on in a year ago but the fire didn't want to burn, so I took it out and had the fire and ashes right on the fire brick. Would like your opinion
