The lead-in paragraph to a news story this morning: "The nation’s largest wind-power contractor, Mortenson Construction, said Tuesday that it formed a new business unit to install large battery storage systems for the electric grid and commercial operations." Grid Scale Storage Competition in support of PV continues to build.
 
Yup. Renewable electricity costs fall below the cost of peak period electricity and voila....a new business opportunity. :)

My bold prediction: as with all new businesses, some will make a bundle, others will lose their shirts.
