Has anyone had an issue with the 2014-2015 Batch of Hamer's Hot ones Pellets?? The new batch I just opened do not give off as much heat as the old ones! By a Mile! Just finshed up last years left over batch. Those worked amazing! Tons of heat! Stove and settings never changed. Just wondering if anyone else had the same experience?? Thanks

We haven't experienced any noticeable temperature differences in this years batch, vs last years. But, the amount of fines in this batch is greater than the norm. We buy by the ton and improper handling isn't the cause.

Bought four tons in July, seem to be burning just fine. Still my favorite pellets by far.

At the end of last year the Hamers I used were terrible!! I had used them for quite a few years before and had no problems. They would not burn very well at all.

As woodstock for an extruder changes, so does the pellet quality. Why I like to pre-buy somersets. They own a florring mill so their feedstock basically never changes.

No issues for me. I've been burNing them for 3 years when available. This year's batch is just fine.

Exactly the same - good heat output that compares to past years. Still my favorite pellet, but not as good as they were about 5 years back in terms of fines. Picked up two tons in Sep (possibly Oct) that had just arrived from the plant in Elkins. Burning great. Sadly, now on last 20 bags and back to Presto's next week or so. Also a decent pellet but way more ash.

There were rumors last year of Hamer's producing a 1% ash pellet for box stores (premium, not ultra) but I never actually saw it, IF that was true. Wish someone could fill us in on that. What does your bag say?

No issues here, burning great. Bought 3 tons last spring. My stove works really well with the Hamers.
