With the warm weather, I've hardly broken it in yet, building small fires as the manual says. But, the glass has gotten pretty dirty. Wood is fine. The dirt requires scrubbing with a wet paper towel dipped in ashes. My old Quad just needed water and a towel (warm glass). I'm not too fussy, but is this something that will burn off in more hot fires? The first fire had two strips of blackness down either side where there are no airwash vents and the second one I had damped down for the night, as I recall. I burned front to back, which might also be a factor, not having done that for a while. Again, I'm not that fussy, just interested in other's experiences.
