Well, Everyone is asleep, I have insomnia, and looks like its beginning to echo in here.
Just want to wish all my wood, pellet, corn, whatever your burning , my brethren a safe, happy,
healthy as can be holiday.
Its still really warm here tonight, so no fire tonight. Just does not seem right. Oh well,
glass is raised to you all , here here, cheers.

You too. I had insomnia last night. 3am finally gave it up. It's about 60 outside but cold wind. Have to split some kindling tomorrow and be ready to fire up the stove. My grandchildren are coming Friday for the weekend. One has asthma so I am glad we don't have the smoke issue like with the old stove. Have a great holiday everyone.

hey, its -15C here, i got the fire cookin. we had thanksgiving months ago. but i still get some good eats this weekend as my girlfriend's mom is from the US

You go Johnny!!!!!!!!!!! I am tempted to burn, but it feels like its near 60 outside. Too warm. And unusual for here for this time of year.
Oh well, a days wood saved I suppose. ;)

29 outside, 79 inside!!! I sure love my stove :) How did it get so warm in PA last night??? That's just not right..

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

We are on way to the Macy's Parade, Happy Thanksgiving to all. Had to check the site first. Way warm here, no fire tonight :(

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone from my warm little home here in NH. 38 degrees at 7AM, 55 for a high, 29 for a low tonight. Hog, you'll get to use your stove tonight, good cold front chillin all us East Coast folk down below normal for next couple of days. Thank you for my Keystone, thank you for plenty of wood to keep us warm, thank you that my family are all healthy and safe, and thank you for all of you that make me laugh, help me burn better and stretch my way of thinking.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I've got the Weber smoke dragon going already. I love the taste of smoked turkey!

Matt

Happy Turkey Day to all!

Too warm here today to run my stove too so no
excuse not to clean it out today.
Stay safe and enjoy!

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Woke up to the first snow cover of the year this morning. It's 28* outside now and we're heading for a high in the mid 30's so the stove will be cranking all day.

The wood stove and all of my friends here at the hearth are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to things I am thankful for this year. I'll spare you all the list, suffice to say that I am a lucky man and I hope I never loose sight of what's really important in life.

Cheers

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Too bad its not this nice outside on Easter Sunday. 67*. 24/7 train has been derailed.

Yo hog, get some turkey. You need some tryptophan in ya.

Happy bird day all!

Wishing you all a great Thanksgiving afternoon. And thanking you for the past year on hearth.com. Old guys can't hang with the kids at the mall so they gotta hang out somewhere.

This is one great somewhere and bunch of great folks.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, enjoy the day!!!!

Craig

Welp, just covered the wood. It is wet from the rain & snow during the week. Warm out today, yes cold front coming in. Calling for rain today, snow tomorrow last I heard.
So I figured I'd cover the wood and try and keep it from getting any wetter.
Going over ma & pas for dinner. Had some turbulence here with my live in family, might be going to dinner alone. Sadly, I am fine with that.
Still alive & breathing, so thanks is still abound. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
Even you old turds ;)

The turkey is chugging along in the oven, the stuffing(s) have been made, everything is ready to hit the oven and eat, BUT the stove isn't running. In fact, the stinking windows are open just to try and keep us from overheating the house.

Oh well, looks like the house will be cool enough tomorrow to justify a fire. I'm dying to show off secondary combustion to my grandparents, who, along with my parents and brother, are visiting until Sunday.

Even you old turds
Somehow Hog, that makes me feel warm and makes me laugh. Hope the day ended up working out for you. Sometimes to stay together, ya got to go it alone.

Happy Thanksgiving.....

talk about a happy thanksgiving,

at 6:15 this morning(thanksgiving) Lucas Aaron Rothermel made his first public appearance weighing in at 6 lbs 9 ounces 17 inches long, full of energy. makes my 4th grandchild. mom and baby are fine in burnet texas, my wife is down there now she got in last night about 11 pm, had to get up at about 5 to go to the hospital she's about pooped right now , talking to her on her way back to my son's house. keeping her awake.

Mike:

To you and your family this is the best of the Holiday. Being alone and spending the day worrying about the family is a hard day. Think you have the best of all.

Hey MIke, Congratulations... does not get any better!
