Put in a new distribution fan in the Accentra FS. The green wire on the stove power cord coming from where you plug it into the wall is the ground. Rather than running that ground to the fan housing like the directions show is it ok to have that ground wire screwed into the stove where the back covers screw in?

I'd say no. The distribution blower is insulated from the rest of the stove by rubber shock absorbers used to reduce noise and vibration. Hence the need for the ground connection directly to the blower motor.

On the top of the blower motor is a hole on each side.
Can you screw the ground into one of those holes?

The motor is isolated, not the housing.Do not hook to motor, stove body will not be grounded(for safety).Anywhere on stove where metal touches metal.Back cover is fine.

Here's a pic of how it's attached on my stove. The ground wire is the one with the red lug. I replaced my distribution blower a couple months ago and took the pics as an aid in the repair.

So screw the back cover on and have the green ground wire on the back cover screw?

Looks as if you are grounded right in the motor.

The pic is of the factory installed blower just before I took it off. I wanted to remember which wires go where. When I replaced the blower I put it back together exactly the same way.

My old one was wired exactly like yours. I wired the new one just like the old one. Fan seems to blow very good at 3/4 turned up. At half or below hardly anything being blown. Turn the knob so it will not go any more then the blower cuts out and the status light goes off. Perhaps with this fan the wires have to be switched somewhere?

What you're describing sounds like the potentiometer dead spot problem. I call it a ratty pot. It's a common problem and has been reported elsewhere in this forum. You didn't mention why you replaced the distribution blower so I'm wondering if that's the problem you have and the new distribution blower didn't fix it. I replaced the potentiometer on my stove last summer. It's a $10 part if you know how to solder a circuit board. Here's a link to at least one other discussion of the problem: https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/harman-room-temp-blower-stopping-briefly.123173/#post-1651185

You can do a search and find others reporting it as well.

I scrape my burn pot twice daily. Being a Harman you don't have to shut it down, just scrape right under the pellets and close the door. Done deal, takes about 45 seconds. With really ashy pellets I may scrape off the ash in between. Clean the stove once a week, it loves it. Every ton or there abouts I ream out the liner.

You can't be lazy with a pellet stove, they kick back ! Don't do the work they misbehave.
