Hello All,

Back in late January, I purchased a used Harman Accentra Pellet Stove. The forum members were very helpful during the purchase and also figuring out the venting. Here was the original link.

I thought I would spend a couple of minutes to tell everyone about how the install went and post some photos.

Everything went pretty smoothly. I haven't fired it up yet because it was 80 degrees here yesterday. But, will be heating in a couple months!

Thanks for all of the help!

Man, that's a really clean patch job on the old hole. Clean setup all-around. Well done!

Glad to see the area cleaned up outside of flammable materials. Could paint the exterior venting brown or black too.
Good job.

Bewdiful job. Not running it because it is 80 degrees is no excuse though. The missus gets cranky when I run the stove and A/C at the same but it has to be done in the name of research. Plus you want to get the bugs out of the stove before you really need it. Light her up I say....

Yeah! I will test her out here in a few days. I wanted to let the high temp silicone dry.

Great patch job on the brick and nice install. Question though - how often do you need a pellet stove in Southern California and will it ever run full out??

If I remember right the home is at higher elevation around 5500ft. He posted that one morning was 22F outside so the stove may get a chance to use its 40k input from time to time.

Thank you for sharing this. It's great to see the step-by-step progression from beginning to end. It's a very professional job all around.

Ha! Great question! Bioburner is correct though. Home is mountains at about a mile high. Gets pretty cold in winter and propane is too expensive. I will let everyone know how it works out in the winter. It is definitely oversized for what we need, but we got a good deal.

I am still planning on an OAK, but will try first without it and see how it does.
