Harman OAK

Hello all... First post here... I got a Harman P43 in late Oct and had it installed by the dealer. Got the Harman wall thimble which looks to me like the exhaust pipe and the OAK pipe going thru the wall. But, on the outside of the house, there is only the exhaust pipe. Is it standard practice to leave the OAK pipe inside the wall? I thought the whole idea of having an OAK was to bring air in from outside and not from inside the wall of the house.... Thanks for any advise.

If it's a wall thimble with the OAK, the fresh air comes in through a vent above the pipe.

There isn`t a small screened area on the outside of the timble?

The one my sister has, there is a small screened area above the vent pipe. I LBT'd her system a few weeks ago and the plastic rod broke in the vent. I had a lot of time staring at the thimble trying to figure out how to get the brush out.

I have 2 pipes coming out of stove (one 3" exhaust and one flexable pipe) that are going into my wall... but on the outside of the house there is only the exhaust pipe.. poor install job?

I'm for sure there's nothing like that on the outside of my house.. Nothing but the exhaust pipe..i'm thinking my stove has been drawing air from inside my wall?

The intake flap is there. It's very stealthy If your OAK pipe went into the thimble "box" and just stopped, your stove wouldn't run, assuming your installer caulked the PV properly and sealed the OAK pipe at the stove end.

Yup. The hood over the pipe is the intake.

i am kind surprised they let the intake be so close to a vent connection.
