I am hoping to get some advice from experienced pellet stove users. My husband and I are looking into getting a pellet stove to offset the costs of our propane furnace. Our local dealer is having a sale this month on floor inventory and we have the opportunity to get a pretty good deal on a P43. However we really only have one suitable place for a pellet stove and the P43 would protrude more than an Accentra. The Accentra would fit better, look better, is cooler to the touch, seems to be a bit more efficient and the emissions seems to be lower than the P43. However it would be about $1200 more and is much heavier. I would like to know if one is significantly quieter than the other, if one is easier to clean than the other and, if they were the same price, which would you buy. Thanks.

Hello
I have a friend who has owned both of these stoves. So his experience may help. The Accentra FS is pretty but harder to clean because you must remove the interior panels and buff them out and then align them properly to fit them back in. He has also had an issue with the big tall fire door warping a bit and not closing tight. This problem is not very common.
He traded that for a P43 and really likes the additional heat that it puts out and how much easier it is to clean. Both stoves are very good quality stoves and should last a long time. In my experience the P43 is a little easier to replace parts than the Accentra because the have better access that the more tightly packed Accentra,

Thank you, this is just the sort of information I was hoping to get.

The accentra would probably be slightly quieter than the p43 because the cast iron helps insulate it. The p series stoves are the best pellet stoves ever made in my opinion. Like he said, both are great, but I’d prefer the p43.
