I did a search and came up with one related thread. I have a 2007 Harman XXV with a 1 1/2" X 1/16" hole in the weldment by the front of the auger. My burn pot has never ben replaced and it does have the last row of factory drilled air holes in the bottom of the pot. (Harman modified their burn pot in later models and don't include the bottom row air holes). Any chance they will still cover this under warranty?

Likely not. But any warranty service would be through the original dealer, and it might be worth the call too what your options are.

X's 2 John, any issues with the stove cantman?

@ Defiant - No issues with the stove at all! It's been very good to me.

The original dealer has sold the business and does not carry Harman at this point. What do I do?

Ugh, that looks like it's in the auger tube vs. the burn pot portion. Not good! Looks more like the metal is worn away vs. an actual crack. Maybe the gap could be filled with a weld, but I have no ideal. I could be wrong, but I believe the auger tube is welded in place, so actual replacement is a major ordeal. I'd be all over Harman to see if they are wiling to participate in a solution. Keep us informed.

The "wear through" spot is definitely in the auger tube. Does anyone have a contact number for a Harman technical rep so I can get s jump on this before my local Harman dealer inspects the stove on January 13th.?

why not simply call the dealer?

nah, what happens is the auger tube weldment gets replaced....the XXV, Accentra F/S, and Advance are a pain to replace these...basically the stove has to be disassembled....6-8 hours time if you know what youre doing, plus, at least for us, we never do this work in the home, so its a matter of removing the stove, bringing it back to the shop, then re-delivering it and re-installing it.....so, from a technicians' standpoint, its a lot of work.

If this part is warranted by Harman, is labor covered?
let me first say I cannot, and will not, speak for your dealer and/or Harman....

usually, labor is covered, although uninstalling and reinstalling may incur a delivery charge. We don't do it in the folks' homes because its far too dirty a job, and frankly, easier when the homeowners' dog isn't humping your leg, and the homeowner isn't in your back pocket, watching everything you do an commenting on such....

I know this thread is nearly a year old but I have this exact crack in the auger tube of my Invincible RS. I just discovered it now as I was cleaning it for the upcoming season. Even though I consider myself Harman savvy, I've never seen a crack like this. Is the auger tube replaceable?

Geez you guys must all be asleep this weekend.....I'm trying to remove the weldment from the stove. Any Harman techs out there that can offer advice? I have the burn pot off, hopper empty, auger and auger motor out. It doesn't want to budge. Advice??? It's an Invincible RS.

How many Invincible owners left may be a better question.

Agreed....looks like I have to remove the hopper. Got those bolts out and it wiggles but doesn't want to break free. I don't have a good feeling about this......

Start a thread of it instead of posting under the XXV. May get more attention.
