I had a Breckwell PFS28 for 13 yrs and after a couple of years of dumping 150+ into it and the fact that the faux brick panel inside had gone to crap and it was going to be another $175.00 for a new one, I decided to look around out of curiousity. When doing so I learned about the tax credits being offered and got excited. Ending up getting a new Harmon Accentra. It's like having a 1990 Ford Tauras and then getting a 2010 Honda Accord. What a difference so far. On the Breckwell you would have to clean daily and the glass would cloud up in about 12 hrs. With the Accentra the glass stays clean for several days and even after a week it is nowhere near as dirty as the Breckwell. The ash pan is only about a 1/4 full with 1/2 ton burned. I am burning Americas Best fir pellets made by Bear Mtn in Cascade Locks Or. I pretty much leave it on stove setting at 65 deg and the burn fead rate at 5. With the fan set at about mid way on the dial it keeps our 1400 sqft house at 73 degs when out side temps are around 37 deg. Only draw back is the small hopper capacity. Other than the small hopper we are happy campers.
