Today I was performing my weekly clean on our Harman XXV and had a flashlight. My son came upstairs and said Dad would you like to borrow my LED headlamp I use for fishing at night. I said sure. Wow what a difference the headlamp made, plus I now had both hands free to do whatever. Wanted to share this idea with you as it makes it so much easier to work on unit and lights the insides up very bright.

I've been using a headlamp while cleaning my stove for years, it is a great help having both hands free.

Been doing it that way for years. Magnetic mount lights work well too.

I gagged for years holding a mini-mag lite in my mouth while doing things that required 2 hands - simple technology like a headlamp is a savior. Works great to illuminate the bottom of the fire pot to see where to scrape the carbon crusties. I'm wearing one now while I'm grilling supper on our dark deck!

ditto, got chicken on the pellet grill! :p

You guys must have some deep stoves, I never use light when I am cleaning. :)

I swear by headlights for all sorts of things. From cleaning out my wood burner to grilling and or deep frying after dark. Also when I bring wood in after dark. I am a shift worker so days and nights mean nothing to me anymore it's all the same.

Kobalt snake light that has a magnetic back. Great for cleaning, can point it where needed.

I've been using headlights for years aswell, They were essential in my plumbing business they are also nice for gun cleaning and in survival or emergency kits.

I only swear by them when I'm driving at night
You say that jokingly but I have modified two headlights to go on my helmet when riding four-wheeler Ive also modified them to except SMT cree LED's with 1 cell LiPo batts they are roughly 100 lumens , its nice to be able to see other than where you can aim an ATV headlight !!

My pellet grill came today! Got a Traeger, and am trying to figure what to smoke first. I think I will christen it slow, and then maybe some duck breasts and eels.

Can't wait to go riding. Dump the plow, change the oil and I'll be rolling!

My kids been racing already. I'd love to ride in Maine. My grandparents lived near sugarloaf. You allowed on all the logging trails?

I'm addicted to headlights. My little guy picked a cheapo one out for me as a gift a couple of years ago and I use it a few times a week. A huge help for stove cleaning.

Duck is great in a smoker, very greasy in general which makes it great to smoke .
