I am building a hearth for a free standing earth stove. I have removed flooring and am down to the sub floor. I plan on casting 3'' of concrete directly on the floor and then setting the stove on the top of the concrete. Do I need anything between the bottom of the concrete and the subfloor? And where can I find the clearance requirements/ manual for a older earth stove ( model en 179 )
