Hi I was wondering if anyone is familiar with this unit or similar ones in general. I am planning a cabin build in the woods about 1000 square feet. I was thinking that a propane stove might be easier than wood for a weekend getaway instead of dealing with getting a fire going late at night after a 4 hour drive to get there. How much fuel do these things use? Can I bring a few bbq tanks to get me through a weekend? Getting a big tank filled could be problematic.

Burning the Stowe constantly on HIGH, you will get around 19 hours of burning time from a 20# LP tank.
The math: BTU per gallon LP = 91600 / 22400BTU/Hr MAX input of the unit = 4.089 Hrs. x 4.7 gallons LP in a
20# tank = 19.219 Hrs...
