Hi, my Heat n Glo SL-950TV-IPI-E has worked fine with the wall switch or remote for some time. Recently, it will not turn on most times. Other times, just happens to work.
I tried unplugging the orange pilot wire from the valve and plugging it back in which seems to cure the problem temporarily. Immediately after doing this it always turns on as expected. Later in the day it won't turn on again. If I can understand which component needs replacing I'd like to do so myself vs a service call to diagnose. Any help appreciated!

Thanks

It could be the wall switch. It could be the transformer plug. You really need to do a flow chart style diagnostic on it or else you will just be chasing your tail. I don't know if yours is IPI or IPI Plus, but the attached manual should point you in the right direction.

I would test the white and orange wires to make sure they are good. That guide will instruct you how. If they are good, I would change the green module. I replace tons of those.
