need some help if any one is on...

pdvc bottom augur motor seems to have just quit, supposed to be -30 tonight...
how to i get this thing pulled out to see if something is jammed in there or if it blew up..

Did you check if any videos available from Englander or on youtube? I am not much help on that stove make.

trying to search but can't find anything...
should the black part on the motor be magnetized? i touched it with a screwdriver and it stuck to it, it didn't stick to the top motor like that..

Dang. I can't even turn the square screw for the top augur motor.

I switch the wires around from the top to the bottom, bottom to the top. when I did this the top motor turned and bottom still didn't. So it has to be the motor right? unless there is a jam in there witch i moved the augur around from the inside of the stove so I dont think there is a jam..

is the bottom motor CCW or CW?

well, funny thing..this morning I was searching the hearth forum, and came across one of my post from a few years ago. I bought a motor a few years ago... found it this morning.. it is a CCW motor, supposed to be an OEM from englander, but not sure if it is supposed to be CCW or if i need to switch to Clock wise.. and i can't find that info from englanders website.

The PDVC auger motors run counter-clockwise.

If you swapped top to bottom wires and now top motor turns but not bottom along with bottom auger spinning free its a bad motor. The bottom motor runs all the time so some folks swap motors to get more life out if it. One lock bolt holds the motor assembly in place.
