We just got a Englander 25 ep. Manufactured 7/14 serial number 008408. It will start up fine. After anywhere from 20min to 4 hrs it will throw a e 3 or a e5 code. Then randomly shut on and off . The control board will flicker . If you unplug it and then turn it immediately back on it runs fine again for a while. Sometimes when it's not even on the blower will kick on by itself. I checked the 3 codes on bottom and they are all set to 1 but it won't let me change ant setting. I tried the hard reset by hitting all 3 at the same time and it won't do anything like throw a f5 code. When it randomly shuts off it doesn't go into shut down mode. Could this mean the control board is bad or the thermal sensor. Please help!!

Here is the link to the manual.

Page 46 had some good troubleshooting advice.

Unplug the stove, let it sit for a few minutes and then check for loose connections, broken wires.

Also, how is the stove installed? Is the vent pipe adequate and working properly? Is the stove plugged into an outlet with a surge protector?

Sure sounds like the board is acting broken but you want to rule out other causes first. Especially if a surge fried the board.

You should also contact the manufacturer for troubleshooting advice and warranty service.

Good luck.
