Help with my Englander, I think?

Recently purchased TRPAH from AMFM Energy. I just tried it out this past weekend, burnt 1/4 bag of Turmans. I was burning on 5/6, and it did not seem to get real hot, just a warm air. I put my temp prob on it and it read only 165 degrees. I used my existing hook up from my Thelin Gnome, not wanting to cut more holes in wall. My venting is out to tee, vertical 32 inches, 90 straight out the wall 2' horizontal. I know Im short of Englander recommended 3' vertical, but I called them and they said it was fine. Im still learning this stove, and need help with getting more heat out of her. I do have an oak hooked up, so it should be getting enough air. The flame was dancing and whiteish in color, did notice glass got a white haze after an hour, not bad though. Being new to this stove I would appreciate any helpful knowledge from the brain trust that is this great forum. (I did not play with the "untouchable" 3 buttons)

Im not sure how to play with the untouchable buttons, and am afraid if I do, I'll really mess it up. Engalnder police may show up at my door! Just need to maximize this new stove before winter.

That's a nice stove with a rather larger hopper. There are ways to tell what the settings are but why not give englander a call?? They are the pros and though I can't speak for them I am pretty sure they don't mind.

I know they have a great costumer service, I did call was on hold for 25 min, had to get back to work though. When I get home from work theyre customer service line is closed for the day. I did send Mike a E mail, for he knows these stoves inside and out. Just wanted as much input as I can get, this forum provides it. Thanks

If you hit each button it will give it's value on screen, you need to hit other buttons (up/down) to change any settings...

for instance:
hit LFF (Low Fuel Feed) it will give a number...
hit LBA (Low Burn Air) it will give a number...
hit AOT (Air on temp) etc.....

Just don't touch the up/down while getting these #'s

Go ahead and get the button readings for us.....they can always be put back to where they are now, but we may be able to help if we know what they are.

Stove is currently set on 1-4-1 setting.

IMO, try 3-5-1. This helped the heat output of my cpm.

Same stove and bought from AM/FM also. I'm at 3 / 4 / 1 now had to increase from 1 to 3 to keep fire from going out. I'd be curious to hear what you end up running at after Mike hooks you up.

im just happy to have this site as a "tool" to allow my customers another way for them to get help.

best part about it is the members in many cases have my customer up and running again before i even get a chance to see the thread.
