Looking for advice. I have a US Stove (King) 5500. Everything about the stove operates fine except that I can’t adjust the room fan. In automatic, it never changes speed, and manually changing the speed has no effect. I assume the fixed speed is high, probably level 9, because it is very loud. I’ve replaced the fan, replaced the control panel, and neither change had any effect. The loudness of the fan isn’t like a bearing issue, it seems like a normal fan noise set very high. Any suggestions?

Use a dmm and check the voltage while stove is on high. If it shows 115-124vac you won’t get anymore out of it. To go to higher cfm you’ll have to frankenstove it.

Sorry, to be more clear, I’m trying to lower the fan speed. I have a friend who has the same stove, and he says his stove is also very loud on level 9. He jokes that it’s like a jet engine and can’t believe I’ve been dealing with this. He always keeps his speed lower.

You can only lower an electric motor to a curtain point then all it will do is hum and get hot, shut off then repeat. They are designed and built to work in certain parameters. You will have to do the math and find a motor/blower combo that works. But remember you get what you pay for. 😀

Not sure what that stove uses for temp sending, if its like my stove and using snap disks.. Wondering if one of both is acting up especially the POF one. My stove on start up the fan will stay on high until the temp levels out and then it will drop down to what i have it set at. Pretty sure during start up i cannot manually change the fan speed.. Maby your stove things its still in startup mode?

Looked at your stove manual- room air fan should go up and down in speed in relation to heat range selection in auto or manually adjust from 1-9. You're saying when choosing heat levels and/or manually adjusting the fan speed, it is not changing, its running in high only?
Can only be the signal coming from the control board is not controlling it. Since you've replaced the fan and control board- I wonder if wiring of the unit is not correct? I know very frustrating, I'd look at control board ribbon connections for a pushed pin, or something not making contact. Full line voltage must be getting to the fan for it to run in high speed. Careful poking around in the wiring too if things are energized, easy to get bit by AC. Hurts too. Good luck with her.
