There are lots of dead stands of Hemlock around here. Its sad.
 
I had a rather heavy infestation going on here in a planted hemlock hedgerow a few years ago.
Didn't want to lose the wind/privacy break so used Bayer Advanced soil drench at half the rate .
All gone in a year.
But they also seem to be gone in trees that didn't get treated, so don't know if I wasted my time and money or not.
 
Those little critters have been around here since the mid 90's. By the early 00's it was nearly an epidemic. I took down a lot of hemlock back then.
