Southern Maine
I checked Home Depot out of curiosity, after seeing several local dealers with lots of pellets. Between Home Depot in Biddeford, South Portland, and Portland( Maine) they have over 1,100 tons of pellets. Mostly FSU. I guess the pellet shortage is over. They are at $259.00 per ton. I think Home Depot is going to have a lot of pellets left over. However, oil has started to go up in southern Maine, around $1.89 gallon.

HD in Merrimack, NH has Geneva, Stove Chow, Fireside Ultra, Green Supremes and Nation's Choice, all $259/ton.

Dang, wish the Concord would get in some FSU's. I got a delivery of a bunch of stuff coming pretty soon and am hoping to get a couple of tons of pellets at the same time. would much rather they be FSU's than stove chow.

My local HD has 145 tons in stock. Another HD nearby has over 600 tons. Last year I bought 4 tons from my local HD and they only had around 10 tons in stock that they had just gotten in. Curious to see how many they end up with at the end of the season if oil stays low.

Usually have 4 ton of FSU delivered by the end of August from HD then pick up another ton in March. Not this year. Pulled out the pellet stove and reinstalled the wood stove.
HD can keep'em at 259. Free firewood will feel a lot warmer.

The HD near me only had Nations Choice...I couldn't remember what the reviews on them were like so I left them at the store. They had a bunch though. I wont feel sorry for folks complaining they cant find pellets in January.

Reviews of Nation's Choice have been generally negative. Regarding pellet stock, every place I have visited so far has been very well-stocked but I don't see the numbers of pickup trucks leaving loaded with a ton every ten minutes like I did last year.

Relax brother's, let there overstock settle in and watch the prices drop, they CAN AFFORD to lose money if they have to unload them, unlike a smaller dealer, my HD says 338 tons, I really think there system is flawed, they have no room for that kind of tonnage

It's probably right - I was at W. Leb., NH today - I was guessing 900 ton in the lot. The website says:

W. Leb - 914 (too bad most of them are North American (Curran blend)
Claremont, NH - 982
Keene, NH - 650
Rutland, VT - 1035

Chatted up the semi driver who was just starting to unload another trailer. Said he's running back and forth from the NY plant pretty steady. If only they'd bring in some Blazers like last year - sigh.

HD in Rutland has them stacked any place a pallet can be stacked. The local stove shop down the road has sold thru his "allotment" and I can call every 10 days or so to see what they have....I'm heading to HD this weekend.
