Easy to make and very useful.

A set of ice tongs from ebay

3/4" pipe from my junk pile, and a piece of washing machine drain hose for a grip.
I drove wooden wedges into the end of the pipe to stablize the hook.

The odd one is made with a tooth of a pole cimbing spike welded to a bolt. I found the climbing spike in the weeds where some lineman had dropped it.

Bill, I love seeing homemade ingenuity. I'm the same way, I love to re-purpose things.

Those tools will come in handy over the years...BTW, welcome to the forums!

Cool, a pick for every occassion!
