I've been burning my punky shoulder season wood since October when I bought the stove. And been happy with the burns. Though never really got a good secondary burn out of it.With the big storm of 08 heading our way I decided to load up the rack with good seasoned oak.Started throwing some in and what a difference. This stove really showed me what it wanted.Nice flue temp and good secondary burn.I'm even more pleased with The Homestead than when I bought it.
As always-good wood makes happy fires!
