I replaced the hopper gasket on my 2003 25-PVDC and now the lid is a bit more difficult to latch closed. Thinking this is because the new gasket is a bit thicker than the beaten-down old stuff.

Can/should I adjust the latches to compensate?
 
If it is that hard to relatch i would loosen them a bit.
