How do I change the bottom settings on an Englander 10cpm?

Just had this stove installed two weeks ago. I bought it as refurb from AM FM stoves. It looks like its set at 3 3 1. The ash is blackish on the window and inside. The Englander does not seem to give off as much heat. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd recommend talking to someone who knows how to
optimize those settings before just blindly messing
with them. There are many on here who know.
You could also shoot a call to ESW and they will walk ya
through things on the phone to get the stove running tops.

This why I posted this thread, so I wasn't blindly pushing buttons. I have read a few threads on this topic and did not see how the setting were changed, only their effects. Imacman where are you?

The LFF,LBA or (AOT, not recommended) can be changed by pressing each only once. A number will show. Press both heat range and blower speed up or down arrows at the same time this will allow you to adjust the range. Repeat for each setting you want to change.

Recommended is 1-4-1. Mine runs best at 3-5-1.

Agreed. The factory setting is supposed to be 1-4-1. I also have "tweaked" mine for better heat (every stove, exhaust set-up, and pellet brand give different results), and currently have the settings at 3-5-1 also.

What heat/blower settings are you at?

I HAVE noticed a big difference in some pellets I've burned.....the Northern brand (from Lowes) isn't very good, but when I put a bag of Lignetics hard/soft blend in, heat went way up.

Also, make sure the stove is on "pellet" setting, not corn.

If these suggestions don't make any difference, try sending Mike H. a PM, or call Englander on Monday.

Also, the stove needs to be shut off and restarted for the changes to take effect, I think.....that's what I do. Confirm this with Englander.

Thanks for all the help. I will try different settings first before I call Englander. I am burning the stove chow pellets from home depot.

That could be just about any brand, depending on the store location and the day of the week. My local HD had three different brands on the floor at the same price. The different brands even used the same HD SKU#. (stock number)

You don't have to turn the stove off. Based on the pellet brand and how clean the stove is, move the LBA often. You can see the differance instantly.

Just got home from work and made the adjustment to 3 5 1. Will wait a while and see the difference. I want to thank everyone for their input. I really love this forum.
