How do I hook up a programmable thermostat to a Harmon p43 wood pellet stove?

I am trying to hook up a programmable thermostat to a Harmon p43 wood pellet stove and there is only a red and black wire the thermostat has slots for 8 wires. I tried calling Honeywell and they weren't any help. Tried looking up on you tube and no go. Could someone please either send me directions or post a video on how to! Would be apprecitated.
