How do I post a hyperlink in a thread?

I haven't figured it how to post a hyperlink for a website in a thread, could someone explain it to me. I have tried using the insert link button but I still can't figure it out.

Not sure if it matters but I use my phone for all Internet purposes.

Copy the link address you want to use then hit link button and paste in link.

I'm meaning if I want someone to look at a link I'm posting, instead of clicking the whole huge link address they just click on the words "click here" then it goes to that website. Does that make sense, can we do that on this message board?

just type the word you want to use, highlight it, click the link button and paste in the long url you want to go to.
